Jeff founded Vineyard Capital in 2002 with a vision to partner with entrepreneurs and help small businesses grow. Since inception, he has led Vineyard’s operating partner relationships and oversees the firm’s underwriting and capital structure design for each partnership. With more than 30 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and 20 years in growth capital investing, Jeff brings a deep understanding of strategic consolidation, disciplined value creation, and partnership-driven growth.
He also founded NewBridge Group, one of the nation’s largest succession planning and M&A advisory firms serving the funeral profession. Through NewBridge, Jeff has guided more than 400 transactions across the U.S., representing over $800 million in enterprise value—experience that directly informs Vineyard’s methodical, partnership-oriented approach to investment.
Jeff is passionate about building enduring relationships and aligning capital with operators who share Vineyard’s commitment to service, integrity, and long-term stewardship.
Ken is a founding member of Vineyard Capital where he has served as Chairman of the Advisory Board since inception. His vast experience has helped guide the firm’s long-term strategy and helped develop and maintain relationships with investors. Drawing on decades of experience in business leadership and governance, Ken provides high-level counsel on Vineyard’s major partnerships and overall direction.
Prior to Vineyard, Ken founded and led a national management consulting firm that grew to more than 150 professionals over a 30-year period. He is also the Co-Founder and Chairman of a privately held health maintenance organization (HMO) based in Tallahassee, Florida. His enduring focus on integrity, strategic growth, and partnership continues to shape Vineyard’s culture and values.
Veronica manages Vineyard’s accounting and operations, bringing more than 20 years of experience in finance, real estate, and corporate management. Before joining Vineyard, she spent 18 years with Cousins Properties, a publicly traded REIT based in Atlanta, where she held leadership roles in property accounting, SEC reporting, and lease administration. She also played key roles in system conversions and the accounting for two major corporate mergers.
Earlier in her career, Veronica served as Controller for Meridian Mortuary Group, a funeral home ownership and management company. In addition to her financial expertise, she is a professionally trained chef, having completed a year of culinary education in Florence, Italy. Veronica holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from Georgia State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Wayne Durrett oversees Vineyard’s accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance across the firm’s operations. A graduate of Florida State University with degrees in both Accounting and Finance, Wayne is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
Before joining Vineyard, Wayne was an Audit Manager with James Moore & Co., a regional public accounting firm, where he managed audit teams serving a diverse client base and led the firm’s engagement with Vineyard. His background in both public accounting and private investment operations provides a strong foundation for Vineyard’s continued financial discipline and growth.
Operations & Accounting
Drew serves as Vineyard’s Controller, overseeing accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls across the firm. A licensed Certified Public Accountant, he holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Florida.
Before joining Vineyard, Drew was the Financial Reporting Manager at Capital City Bank and previously worked as an auditor with James Moore & Co. in Tallahassee.
Sam serves as Vice President of Finance for Vineyard Capital, overseeing financial planning, analysis, and performance management of Vineyard's operating partners. He works closely with the executive team to support capital allocation, M&A integration, and strategic growth initiatives.
Before assuming his current role, Sam was Managing Partner of a Vineyard-backed, multi-location dental organization, where he led operations, acquisitions, and performance improvement efforts. Earlier in his career, he consulted with and operated multi-office dental groups in Metro Atlanta and held finance and business advisory roles at Cox Enterprises.
Sam holds a B.S. in Finance from the Georgia Tech's Scheller College of Business and an MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
Lisa leads the underwriting and best practices development for Vineyard’s funeral home relationships. She has a depth of experience including leading the mergers and acquisitions divisions of some of the top funeral home brokers and acquisition companies in the industry. She’s underwritten and determined the valuation of more than 200 funeral home businesses in her career and has an innate understanding of how to analyze operations to release trapped value and cash flow. Her mergers and acquisition experience includes the representation and sale of more than $200 million in combined value. Lisa is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a degree in economics. She has a passion for exercise and enjoys active outdoor activities like kayaking and cycling
Tamra manages the daily accounting of cash receipts and disbursements, and oversees the administration of financial contracts with operating partners. In addition, she is the main point of contact for the Company’s investors. Tamra has a passion for finding opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency that will benefit our operating partners. She has over twenty-five years of operational accounting experience with a background in commercial RE asset and property management.
Angela manages the accounting process for several of Vineyard's partners. She has more than 20 years of experience in accounting and HR management. Prior to joining Vineyard, she served as the CFO for the Florida Petroleum Marketers where she was responsible for the oversight of finances, human resources, database management, and assisted with fundraising events. Angela holds a Bachelor of Science from Virginia Tech. She moved to Tallahassee in 2006. She is married and has a blended family with five children.
As Senior Accountant, Jami leads debt management and supports core accounting functions at Vineyard, drawing on her experience in service-based businesses and tenant rental accounting. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Science with concentrations in Public Administration and Economics. She is completing her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Jesica oversees the administration of acquisitions and debt financing for Vineyard’s operating partners and manages the firm’s real estate asset administration. A highly skilled real estate paralegal, she brings extensive experience coordinating with lenders, surveyors, appraisers, title agents, and other professionals involved in complex real estate and business transactions.
With more than twenty years of combined legal experience across multiple practice areas, Jesica provides the structure and precision that ensure smooth execution of Vineyard’s transactions. She earned her A.S. degree and Paralegal Certification from Tallahassee Community College and is a Georgia Notary Public. A Tallahassee native, Jesica now resides in Thomasville, Georgia.
Megan leads Vineyard’s marketing, communications, and content strategy, supporting both the firm and its operating partners. She brings more than a decade of experience in brand development, messaging, and campaign management across a range of industries.
A graduate of Florida State University with a degree in Communications, Megan has called Tallahassee home since 2003. Throughout her career, she has built and refined brand architecture, developed content strategies, and guided creative initiatives that strengthen engagement and visibility.
Rebecca leads Vineyard’s human resources function, overseeing onboarding, performance-based compensation, and employee benefits, including company health insurance programs. She also supports executive management by coordinating information and documentation for banking and accounting relationships.
In addition to her HR leadership, Rebecca serves as Vineyard’s resident sommelier and wine connoisseur, curating selections for company gatherings and investor events.
A graduate of the American College of Applied Arts in Atlanta, Georgia, Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communications.
Investment Team
Alex leads underwriting and valuation for Vineyard’s operating partners, overseeing financial modeling, performance analysis, and investment forecasting across the firm’s portfolio.
He holds an accounting degree from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business and is pursuing his CPA license. Before joining Vineyard, Alex led the finance team for a startup real estate private equity fund and interned with Amazon’s M&A group, where he focused on equity valuation and deal analysis.
Todd leads business development for Vineyard’s operating partners, focusing on sourcing, relationship management, and strategic growth opportunities. He brings more than 20 years of investment banking experience, most recently serving as Head of Business Development with The Lenox Group, LLC.
Todd earned his B.S.B.A. from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School and his MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. An active member of his church and several professional networking groups, Todd lives with his wife, Anne, and their two sons, Reeves and Cannon.
Ryan leads underwriting for Vineyard’s operating partners, focusing on financial analysis, valuation, and due diligence for acquisition opportunities. He works closely with operating partners leadership to understand if and how a potential acquisition could fit within existing operations.
Before assuming his current role, Ryan interned with Vineyard, assisting in accounting and financial reporting. Originally from Chicago, he earned his B.S. in Finance from Florida State University’s College of Business.

Steve has served on Vineyard's Advisory Board since 2016, bringing extensive executive and board experience across corporate, entrepreneurial and community organizations. A former IBM executive with 30+ years of leadership in Government, Education and Healthcare. Since retiring, Steve helped launch and advise companies in finance, technology, and manufacturing.
Steve is a University of Michigan graduate and spent 6 years with the St Louis Cardinals Baseball organization. More recently he's served as chairman of the board of the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital and is a founding board member of Prime Meridian Bank. His strategic insight and mentorship provide tremendous strength to Vineyard's management team and operations partners.
Rick Grant has served on Vineyard’s Advisory Board since 2022, bringing deep leadership and governance experience. He also sits on the Board of Directors of Municode, where he spent more than two decades as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, leading the company’s national expansion and operational modernization.
Rick served 31 years in the U.S. Navy as both a naval pilot and JAG attorney, commanding the NCIS Atlantic Command and retiring with the rank of Rear Admiral as the Navy’s Judge Advocate General. Earlier in his career, he also captained the Navy’s off-road motorcycle team.
